What ia an overhaul?
 1. PREVENTION
- full disassembly of the machine
- full cleaning out of the machine and of all its components
- inspection and check of all components for wear
- replacement of all bearings, pins and bushes
 2. SPINDLE DRUM
- repair of spindles and replacement of all spindle bearings
- assembly and adjustment of spindles
- measurement of spindles run accuracy and adjustment of clearences in bearings
- regrinding and lapping of the central shaft, replacement of bushes in the central slide and its fitting with the central shaft
 3. SLIDES
- check for wear
- grinding, scraping of all guiding areas
- repair or replacement of all gib strips at slides
- slides assembly and adjsutment of clearences
- check for accuracy
 4. NEXT MACHINE AREAS
- complete inner and outer painting
- complete modernization or repair of hydraulics circuit

What is a modernization?
There are two possibilities for modernization of a multispindle automatic lathes:
1. MODERNIZATION AND REPLACEMENT OF ELECTRICITY
- replacement of the switch controlled by means of mechnical cams with a new electronic position indicator of the curved shaft with cam-less control of machine functions
- replacement of relay control of machine functions by programmable PLC SIEMENS automat with diagnostics of failures watched in automatic cycle
- installation of a new control panel with display, to display machine operations, switching-off of shits can be set when the life of individual tools comes to an end
2. MODERNIZATION AND PROVIDING THE MACHINE WITH THE DRIVE OF PROGRAMMABLE INDEPENDENT AC SIEMENS MOTORS FOR MACHINE SPEEDS AND FEEDS
- smooth regulation of the machine working run (cycle time) in dependence on the needs of the technological procedure, controlled directly from the machine panel (that means the machine will be without change gears)
- decreasing of the machines noise
- shortening of the non-priductive idle time of the machine for about 30%
- stabilization of the moment of the working run switch-over to non-working run and vice versa, independent of the machine temperature, with the possibility to change the angle of the above switch-over directly from the machine control panel
- providing the machine with auxiliary turning over of the machine shifts (at adjustment and replacement of tools) under three different speeds - microshift, middle speed shift, high-speed shift, in both directions, controlled from the machine panel
- control panel will be equiped with display, to display machine operations. At the same time the above will enable calculations of cutting speeds and shifts to machine revolutions in dependance on the specified working time
- drop of machine maintenance requirements due to the absence of the shifting and high-speed shifting clutch and shifts brake
- optionally, the machine can be equipped so that two different working times can be used under one machine cycle
- Controlled motors will have a mechanical brake built it. This brake is put into operation in case electrical energy drops or falls-out and it will brake all the shifts. By this safety regulations are met.
